Is this an interesting plot idea? Will people be offended by it?

There's always going to be someone that's offended. But I think this plot sounds awesome, so go with what you think and write it! Of course, some details about the figure's deal, the half-soul thing, and the job in general are going to have to be fleshed out, but so far so good! :]
