My husband has been at Parris Island for just over 2 months now. On the firing range, he ped his 1st qualifications well with 216 out to 250 shots and is a sharpshooter now. His Drill Instructor awarded him by giving him a 5 minute phone call to me. For those who don't know already, it is rare for a recruit to get to call home from the MCRD. He just called me a couple of hours ago. As soon as he said my name, I knew it was him and broke down in tears. So did he. The phone call was awkward, and he didn't seem to talk much or even listen well. He cried alot, and I was really nervous. I didn't know what to say. It felt like we had just started dating again. In a way it was nice to have that childish feeling back, but then I'm worried that we might be drifting apart. I'm sure his sister would have told him. He said "it was personal" I said, just because something is personal does not mean they won't tell anyone some of the details. His sister's daughter surely knows why they chose cremation. My father is too scared to ask her. I'm sure she would gladly tell him. Otherwise he is on his own. What can be done to pursuade my father to at least choose cremation or not. If you go the regular way, it seems the issue is how much do you want to pay. Does draceana marginata have a stem when young?

Someone suggested that an unknown "tropical foliage" plant I have might be a draceana marginata. However, all the pictures I find are of adult ones, and the one I purchased is in a 4 inch pot(she desperately needs repotting as there are thick tuber roots hanging out the bottom). But there's nothing that even resembles a woody stem. The leaves are very spider plant-esque, just red edged with a solid green inside on the tops, the bottoms are darker red with just a stripe of light green going up the middle. They are no more than 3/4 an inch wide and about 8-10 inches long. I just checked the base and as far down as I'm comfortable going, the leaves just overlap. I just want to pamper this plant, lol, and that starts with knowing what she is. Thanks!

Howard. He is a freak athlete that absolutely dominates the interior. When he's not blocking shots, he's altering them and inhaling every rebound in the vicinity. Plus, he runs the floor much better and is equally suited to playing transition defense as well as in the halfcourt. His offense and free throw shooting are still shaky, but he is still young and has plenty of time to improve at the line and develop a more refined repertoire offensively. With his youth, he is a better investment in that he will be around a lot longer. I personally think Yao is somewhat overrated. He is way too soft, is injury prone, and a liability in transition defense.

If you can block, then definitely full back is a good option. I wish I knew your body weight, because if your under 190 lbs. you should probably bulk to go down at fullback. Your 40 time isn't particularly quick, so you might need to work on your 10 to 20 yard get-offs. Work on chest heavily this off season, you might want to try to put on 10-15 pounds since you don't have to worry about being so much fast for a distance. That's good to see a football player posting his power clean stats instead of only bench press. If you were a player I was coaching, i'd definitely think about putting you in at fullback.

Raising fish in outdoor pond?

This spring I plan to start a aquaponic system in my backyard. Ive got a small 650 gallon pond and will set up grow beds so the water will be pumped through the plants in the beds which filter out the fish waste and then the water is pumped back into the fish pond clean again. I would also have a biofilter to clean the water more, a uv sterilizer to keep away algae, and a aerator to provide oxygen. So anyway, im thinking of having different types of fish including gr carp, bullhead catfish, bluegill, and channel catfish. Are these good choices or is their some other types I should consider? I have read in some places that channel catfish will not eat other fish and other places say they will? Would these 4 types of fish be able to live together if I provided them with plenty of food. Do you think I should also stock the pond with flathead minnows for the fish to eat.

Why is there gas in my crankcase and why is it leaking?

I just bought a 1996 kawasaki vulcan clic 800 and it appeared to be leaking out of the crankcase from the two bottom bolts. I tightened the bolts and it stopped leaking from all but one. I had a dream that I was about to have with a complete stranger. In the middle of the act I became aware of how wrong it was. I got up to use the bathroom and I looked into the mirror. *HELP*! Belly piercing question, URGENT?

First and foremost I know it's a new piercing but be sure not to clean it too much. Cleaning it too much can irritate it and cause the burning sensation. When I got mine pierced I cleaned it once in the morning and once at night that was all. I used H2Ocean for the first 2 or 3 days and then I used sea salt. Like you said moving it is not a good thing. The best thing to do is leave it alone. It will heal naturally. Also be sure to wear loose fitting clothes to allow the piercing to air out. Constant and rough friction can cause scarring and longer healing time. Just another tidbit eating healthier foods will also help heal the piercing faster.

Doenting Medical Records for VA Disability?

My husband got back from a combat deployment to Afghanistan in October. He is EASing in June. He has a lot of service connected injuries and is having a hard time getting them doented. For starters, he went to his corpsman and the corpsman told him he is out of luck. And also, once getting back from deployment the USMC requires a post deployment health esment for every marine. His battaltion still has not done this. Last week they had to take a cognative test at work and because of his results he finally got to see a doctor today and was diagnosed with having a TBI. But aside from that he was blown up and has an issue with his hip knee and back. He has been having stomache problems the last year with mive heart burn and he has damage to his ears. We are trying to get everything doented but his battalion is making this almost impossible. I am wondering what we should do ourselves to get this doented. Will his appointment at the VA on the 31st doent this or will we have to go to a different doctor?

Why would they keep following the paths of other members of their family. I am still trying to figure out how many mice we have! Never had a problem with mice. This last month we realized we had to set traps, no more catching and releasing (humane) as I first did. I do feel bad about it, don't laugh too hard, those of you who HATE mice. I actually somehow respect the little creatures, and their intelligence. I just can't LIVE with them and their droppings everywhere, and hearing them run through the rafters!! Does anyone know if it's true that they do not feel pain? Mortgage Loan Modification?

We are currently in great standings with our mortgage and the bank which holds the note. Due to unforeseen cirstances, we've got a reduction in income. We have a HELOC with another bank and about 50K in consumer debt. We have been unsuccessful in obtaining a refi using an outside broker obtained on the internet. Are biggest setback is our mortgage payment which is a fixed 30yr at 6.5% ($3500 mo). We cannot afford to pay the 1st, HELOC and the consumer debt anymore. We've never made a late payment...do we have a good chance with a modification? We have financed 2 houses with our current bank and have a personal relationship with our banks' broker. We are going to call and ask but I was wondering if banks will modify one loan without having to touch the HELOC? We cannot refi both (not enough income to support it). She's partially correct. It's also the fact that in the wild cats are both prey and predator. A sickly one will attract predators to the colony, and put them all in danger. They drive off the weak and sick to keep the rest of the colony safe. The "smell" that the ill cat puts off is very upsetting to your other one. It may be best to keep them separate until the other one is better, or the aggression that is being shown may continue after the first one is better.

Interesting principles. I know nothing of God's laws - though I know the "laws" of various religions are presumed to be them by their adherents (which is surely confusing when they conflict - how many Gods are there?). Am I being selfish for wanting another wedding?

My wedding day was a disaster. Just about everything that could go wrong, did. MIL was being a pain in the you know what. The photographer was two hours late. My cakes were melting because the facility did not turn on the ac in time. The facility was dirty (sticky floors, bathrooms not clean) nor did they set the reception up like I asked. My guests left early because of a late start in the wedding (because of problems beyond my control). Some guests got lost on their way. There was a problem with the facility that escalated into a shouting and cursing match between me and the overseer of the facility. My dj had to set up on the floor. My husband forgot to take the tags off of my rings. The tablecloths were not long enough for the tables (two tablecloths barely covered the tops of the tables. And that is just the half of it. Wedding dress didn't fit (the straps were too long). Now tell me, am I being unreasonable or selfish because I want the wedding of my dreams?

While I don't live there and have not been there, I believe the ranch gates can be accessed via a county road which is not restricted. I'm pretty sure you can't go beyond the gates, however, as it is private property. The shrine appears to be in front of the gates where you would have access (uming the shrine things are still there). The wind blows a lot in California this time of year, it may have all blown away. But, if I was in the area, I'd make the drive to check it out. I read they are cleaning up the grounds that had been left unattended for the last couple years.

How do you remove a stuck front wheel hub?

I have a 93 Aerostar and I am replacing the front penger side hub. it is AWD. I have had problem after problem. I managed to get the rotor off, and remove the three bolts holding the steering/hub in place. I had to use a 5 lb sledge to remove the stuck on rotor. and now guess whats stuck. The hub will not budge...... I somehow managed to pound the hub into two pieces. the "wheel" part is now off but the rear part that actually bolts to the van is still stuck on. I have tried to wedge many screwdrivers between the two and no luck... I have WD40d the hell out of it and now it is soaking... What else can I do to remove the hub?

Because in Europe the pickup truck isn't a sign of macho like it is among American males. Of the roughly three hundred men who own pickups and work where I do, not one NEEDS a pickup truck. What little hauling any of them does can be accomplished by renting a small U-Haul trailer once or twice a year...European males are content to make do with bicycles except during the bitterest of cold weather, to use public transport and to go on days-long hikes on vacation. There are plenty of autos in Europe, but they aren't worshiped like here in the USA...

I think part of the problem parents are having today is that they are unable to discipline the kids without being reported for child abuse. Also, schools are telling small children to call 911 if the parents swat them. I know that some parents go too far in the discipline, but for the most part, parents are doing the best that they can. And yes, you are very correct in that the media is in part to blame. As for what I would do to fix the things that are so wrong today, perhaps neighborhood programs as well as houses of worship could set up activities for area families. This could include fishing, biking, going to the park...something, anything other than watching television. Thanks for a very interesting question!
