Does coronary heart disease and thickening of left ventricle have anything to do with each other?

Well, not exactly, that's coronary artery disease not coronary heart, which means the arteries that supply blood to the heart muscle itself are diseased or blocked which can result in a heart attack. Left ventricle thickening comes under the heading more of congestive heart failure, the "pumper" is wearing out. The two are not exactly the same thing.
